- EFFECTS AND BENEFITS OF INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
- CONDITIONS AFFECTING HEAD, NECK AND SHOULDERS
- REACTIONS TO INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
WEEK TWO
- OVERVIEW OF WEEK ONE- QUESTIONS AND CASE STUDIES.
- INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE TECHNIQUES
- FORMULATING A TREATMENT PLAN FOR INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
- MASSAGE SEQUENCE DEMO FOR SEATED MASSAGE
5. MASSAGE SEQUENCE DEMO FOR THE LAYING DOWN TECHNIQUE
WEEK THREE
1. OVERVIEW OF THE BACK AND NECK TECHNIQUES
2. TECHNIQUES FOR THE HEAD
3. TECHNIQUE FOR THE FACE AND EARS
4. PAIRING OFF AND DOING A MASSAGE EACH AND RECEIVING A MASSAGE EACH.
WEEK FOUR AND FIVE
EACH STUDENT WILL BE REQUIRED TO DO 2 TO 3 INDIAN HEAD MASSAGES ON THIS DAY AND SEVERAL CLIENT CONSULTATIONS.
YOU WILL HAVE 25 MINUTES FOR EACH MASSAGE AND 10 MINUTES FOR EACH CONSULTATION.
THIS IS NOT THE EXAM BUT A PRACTICAL DAY.
EXAM WILL BE DONE ON DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED.
FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO DO A 6TH WEEK THIS IS OPTIONAL AND COVERS THE FOLLOWING:
- STRESS MANAGEMENT- THIS WILL TEACH YOU THE DEFINITION OF STRESS, DIFFERENT TYPES OF STRESS, RECOGNISING STRESS, STRATEGIES TO HELP CLIENTS TO CONTROL AND MANAGE THEIR OWN STRESS
- MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
THIS WILL PREPARE YOU TO: RESEARCH CLIENTS, GATHER CLIENT INFORMATION, ASSESSING MARKETING NEEDS, COMPILING A MARKETING PLAN, GETTING THE BALANCE RIGHT IN MARKETING,PERSONALITY SELLING, DIRECT APPROACH TO MARKETING AND PROMOTION, INDIRECT APPROACH TO MARKETING AND PROMOTION, GETTING CORPORATE CLIENTS,PUBLICATIONS AND DIRECTORIES,
INTERNET, RADIO, CROSS MERCHANDISING PROMOTIONAL LITERATURE,ENCOURAGING CLIENT RETENTION, MAXIMISING MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES, SELLING OF ASSOCIATED PRODUCTS. ETC AS WELL AS DEFINING MARKETING OBJECTIVES
